This is a nifty piece, comfortably smooth to the touch. Dashes of green and blue crackle glazes compliment the warm copper background. The white Italian flower slabs provided a high scrap rate so only a few survived. I think this is the happiest piece of the bunch!

Several years ago about 40 pounds of 1970's enamel was purchased. In the lot was a half ounce of this remarkable "crackle" blue. You never know how it will break. This piece turned out to be one of the most dramatic of the crosses.

I hardly ever name these small pieces. The glass chips came from a broken glass handle from Myra's kitchen remodeling. The view into the kiln allowed a vision that looked like a pyramid landscape. I called it "Blue Ice" immediately upon removal.

I've always admired the Chinese "floating worlds and this one has that oriental flavor. The dash of sage green represents the earth; the brown spots trees on a mountain side with the sky background. The warm copper color has struck my cord and have used it walls, earth, sky, clouds and a neutral background.

djk65- Three White Italian Flowers on Copper
The green "crackle" glaze broke just right, giving a garden feel. It's a perfect backdrop to the Italian millefiori composition. It looks painterly and elegant to me.

djk66- Yellow, Red and White Italian Flowers on Copper
This was a problem child. Close inspection will show pliers marks where it was straightened while still glowing red hot. The marks remain even after filing and two applications of clear; still it turned into a nice riotous floral piece.

djk67- Purple, Red and White Italian Flowers on Copper
I like the chaos in floral pieces. Gardens after all, are often a jumble of shapes and colors. This one became a favorite as soon as the red flower lost its yellow/orange 1500 degree glow and appeared magically. The white bloom spirals off the surface.
